This Mod Adds Kurogane Expanded Fleet to the Stellaris Game.

A standalone addition of a few ships to the popular Kurogane shipset. All credit for any other ships and mod structure go to him. Adds additional options for multiple ship classes added by the wonderful NSC mod, which are not available for use without it. NSC is not required to use this mod, only to access a portion of its contents.

This mod does not require the base Kurogane shipset mod to function. You can swap between the two shipsets by disabling one mod and enabling the other at any time. This function is save compatible.

Compatible with Downscaled ships. No other compatibility patches have been made as of yet. This mod is now large and divergent enough to require its own set of compatibility patches; It is no longer fully compatible with patches designed for the base mod, but they will work in a pinch.

Special thanks to my French art slave great friend Bambiraptor for his work on the Vengeance of Centarus Insignia and various design, texture, and art advice. For a baguette smoking frog you a’ight.

Please upvote if you enjoy, it only takes a second of your time and makes me happy. You want to make me happy don’t you?

MOD ADDITIONSFlagship: I did not like how the Flagship was just a larger Titan with racing prongs and engines welded to it, so I replaced it with a different model that also looks more flag-shippy. I don’t think anyone will have complaints about this one.

Dreadnought: The Dreadnought looked ok, but in my opinion did not look enough like the rest of the set. It also had these puny little struts hold together its side engine things (?), which I imagine are pretty important and critical to the ship. The main reason I replaced it is because I prefer my replacement model over it. Its got a proper superstructure and actually looks like a derivative of the battleship instead of the destroyer on super steroids. Its also got these cool reptilian techy engines.

Escort Carrier: I had a whole rant about how the base carrier was bad for many reasons but since there are places for it and my new model I guess you can have both now. I do hate to make my great and logical and not weeb-goggles inspired model the “crappier” option but it does fit better.

Battle/Strike Cruiser: Revolutionary both in design (for me at least) and purpose (The first ship NOT added to replace a ship I didn’t like the look of!), the Battlestrike™ cruiser is an aggressive wedge vanguard ship. Unlike the brutal industrial layouts of the rest of the fleet, these ships are designed more elegantly and utilize more advanced technologies and materials to do their job.

Cruiser: I am happy to say I was in the majority of people who thought the cruiser looked like some kinda pokey space sparkplug with a thruster, so I scrapped the entire thing and replaced it with a glorious new model. Kept the general triangular rear profile, as well as those weird side engines because they make it’s back profile look great. 200% more engine and 100% less protrusive slab things than the original!

Corvette: I personally thought the base design was a tad too flat and stubby, and in the same spirit of aggressive wedge design experimentation enlisted our new model. Designed for both military and policing operational profiles, this little ship can move from the frontlines to pirate hunting and space patrol within the hour. I am honestly not all too impressed with this one either, so yet another may come eventually…

Exploration Cruiser: Unless they really changed it, the exploration ship is the most useless and stupid and smelly ship in NSC; one that I have barely used and always disliked. I made its model an old dusty thing I’ve never used and always disliked, since they fit together swimmingly. It was designed separately from the others and looks out of place, just like the exploration cruiser.

Titan: I recently asked the engineers what those ugly green barrel things on the side of our Titans were used for. I don’t remember exactly what nerdy crap they said but it wasn’t “Anti-Xeno nerve gas” or “Alien tears and salt storage”, so I got rid of them. I’m sure it’ll be fine.

Strike Craft: Recolored so they’re no longer shiny silver and blue boy scouts launched from an industrial grey and dark orange carrier. Possibly maybe chances of new model eventually.

Want to contribute? (yes you do)
Recruiting someone with basic Photoshop and technical skills. Easy work involves modifying textures, usually shades, colors, and contrast. Experience with normals, speculars, and channels preferred. Appease the unwashed masses calling for new color sets! Make Kurogane megastructures great again!
